Frequently Asked Questions
If you have a question that isn’t covered here, please get in touch – we’re happy to talk through your site, your standards and how we can support them.
-
We provide specialist cleaning for cleanrooms and controlled environments, clinical and healthcare areas, laboratories, technical environments, offices, retail spaces, routine contract cleaning and end of tenancy / pre-let cleans. Every service is delivered to a clear scope of work and checklist agreed with you.
-
We mainly work across Central Scotland – including Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh – but can support projects in other locations by arrangement. If you’re unsure whether we cover your site, just get in touch with the postcode and we’ll confirm.
-
The easiest way is to complete our “Request Hygiene Assessment” form or send us an email with a few details about your site, type of environment and the help you need. We’ll come back to you to arrange a hygiene assessment or gather any extra information needed to provide a clear quote.
-
Yes. Our teams arrive with all the equipment and products needed for the work we’ve agreed. In specialist environments (for example GMP cleanrooms or laboratories) we can also work with your approved products and procedures where required by your quality system.
-
Yes. Our technicians receive role-specific training, including GMP and GDP awareness for cleanrooms and labs, and appropriate training for clinical and high-risk areas. Staff are inducted on site procedures, PPE, access controls and documentation before they start work.
-
All staff are referenced and vetted, and we can provide DBS-checked personnel where required. Peak Cleaning Services holds appropriate public liability and employers’ liability insurance for the work we carry out.
-
Wherever it’s compatible with your environment, we use low-toxicity and environmentally considerate products. In highly regulated areas (such as cleanrooms and clinical spaces), we will always follow the products and methods agreed with your QA or infection control teams.
-
We aim to minimise disruption. Cleaning can be scheduled out of hours, at weekends or around production and clinic times. For controlled environments we agree access windows in advance so your operations and validation activities are protected.
-
Safety is built into how we work. We follow site inductions, method statements and risk assessments, including COSHH controls for any chemicals used. Our teams are trained on safe systems of work, PPE, manual handling and emergency procedures relevant to your site.
-
Every contract is supported by a written scope of work and checklists. Supervisors carry out routine checks, and we encourage regular feedback from your team. For cleanroom and technical environments we can also provide documented sign-off and visit records to support your quality system.
